Chef Dave grew up with Italian food and was professionally trained in New Orleans, so Russo’s was created as an outlet for both cuisines. Dave and business partner Amy Russo opened Russo’s in 2002 with the help of close family and friends. The open food bar in Russo’s was inspired by a similar setup in Emeril’s and helps to display the complex cooking process that is usually behind the scenes. The restaurant itself looks to give an experience that is hard to find in Northeast Ohio, with fresh seafood, southern-style cooking, and an extensive wine collection.
