“A fanatical commitment to the execution of the fundamentals”

Food was always a part of Chef Dave Russo’s life. Throughout his childhood, grandparents of different ethnic backgrounds helped to spark an interest in cooking. At the age of 18, Dave went to New Orleans, a famous melting pot of different cultures, to begin his formal training with food. The next 13 years were spent working in famous New Orleans restaurants such as Galatoires, K-Paul’s, and Emeril’s, where he would learn from renowned chefs Paul Prudhomme and Emeril Lagasse. Dave then came back to Ohio and would spend years as a partner in the Liberty Street Brewing Company. With all of this experience, Chef Dave would finally open Russo’s Restaurant in 2002.
